The masthead design is really good and the photo has really good lighting and the models pose is original and works with the music genre. One improvement so far could be to position the masthead behind the cover star.
I think you have made a good start to your magazine front cover. The masthead matches your genre 'Hip Hop' nicely and the main photo is very good. To improve you should start adding cover lines, pull quotes and any other useful information your front cover.
